The sisters refereed a final in the Gothia Innebandy Cup together

Linda and Sandra Lindskog loved being referees in the latest edition of the tournament, in 2020.

The sisters Linda and Sandra Lindskog is refereeing together. In the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2020, they had the honor to be referees in a final.
– It was a bit edgy, of course, and incredibly fun, says the older sister Linda.

Linda Lindskog is 34 years old and lives in Gothenburg. Right now she is on parental leave. Otherwise, she works as a Software Business Analyst. She started refereeing during her time at the floorball high school Hulebäck.
– It included taking a course where you had to learn the rules. It was a local floorball association that held the course and afterwards you were asked if you wanted to become a referee. I accepted, and I didn't know at the time that you get paid, says Linda Lindskog.
She's currently refereeing at level 3, the second highest level within the district, and she has previously refereed for the Swedish Floorball Association.
– The most enjoyable thing about refereeing floorball is getting to work on your leadership. We meet so many different individuals and we have to lead them through a match where pretty much everyone wants to win!
She really enjoyed refereeing at the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2020. She ended up refereeing the G17 final.
– It was a bit edgy, of course, and incredibly fun. You want to do everything right, be seen as little as possible and at the same time maintain good relations with players and managers.

The final is of course a strong memory from the tournament.
– But also to meet fellow referees from all over Sweden and now also a group that comes from outside Sweden.
Her short-term goal as a referee is to get to work with the national championships SDF-SM and Innebandyfesten. On a more long-term plan, she wants to become a federal referee. But first she's looking forward to be refeering at the Gothia Innebandy Cup in January.
– Of course, you don't want to miss that, says Linda Lindskog happily.

Little sister Sandra is just as excited.
– I obviously aim to be involved, says the 32-year-old.
Unlike her older sister, she lives in Bollebygd. She is also on parental leave. When she is not, she works as a customer manager in an office in Gothenburg.
Sandra talks about how she became a floorball referee:
– When I first decided to become a referee, it was because my sister was a referee and thought I should try it and to get some extra money during school. Then I quit after only a year or so, because I wasn't ready. About ten years later, I wanted to develop myself and the opportunity to be a referee appeared again.

She enjoys refereeing with her sister and refereeing in general.
– The most fun is the joy, the cohesion and the development you get when you're out on the field, says Sandra Lindskog.
She had a lot of fun during the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2020.
– It was great fun to be trusted to judge the final. Of course, I was a bit nervous, but it was great fun and two very talented teams.
She highlights several joys about working with the Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– The best thing about the tournament is seeing all these driven people, good matches and the cooperation between the referees.
Just like her sister, she wants to work with SDF-SM and/or Innebandyfesten.
– In the longer term, it would have been really fun if I could get up to the federation level, says Sandra Lindskog.
