The first teams have signed up for GIC 2024

The registration for the Gothia Innebandy Cup has opened and 66 teams have already registered.

The girls in Tunet IBK are already excited about the tournament.

FBC Vinga was the first of the Swedish clubs to sign up and Tunet IBK from Norway was first among the foreign clubs. They're both already looking forward to the tournament in January 2024.

One of Norway's biggest clubs, Tunet IBK, was the first of the foreign teams to sign up for the Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– It feels good. There was great joy in the player squad when we told them that we had registered a team for the Gothia Innebandy Cup. It's important for us to have something to look forward to, not least for our players. They know they have something to be happy about when we end the season, says the leader Morten Larsen.

The interest in the tournament is always great in Tunet IBK.
– The Gothia Innebandy Cup is always one of the highlights of the year. It's extra fun to be at a cup that is played over several days. Our goal is to have fun together and build teams both socially and sportingly. We want to meet new teams and not least well-known teams. Being able to measure our strengths with many good teams that are in the Gothia Innebandy Cup is important for our development. We had teams in G14, G15 and G17 in 2023, so the goal must be to improve the results we had then, says Morten Larsen.

FBC Vinga's B12 team was the very first of the Swedish teams to sign up for next year's edition of the Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– It was fun that we were the first team to register! We were there in 2023 and thought it was a real highlight. We're from Gothenburg and are aware that there may be limitations in the number of local teams, so we didn't want to risk being left out, says the leader Emil Jönrup.
He talks about their goals with Gothia Innebandy Cup 2024:
– The most important thing for us is not the result, but that we make a good performance and that we have fun and develop as a team. It's especially exciting for the boys to meet teams from other countries. We went to the A playoffs in 2023 and that will probably be the goal in 2024 as well. There is a long way to go until the Gothia Innebandy Cup in 2024, but since it was so successful last time, we're absolutely full of anticipation already now, says Emil Jönrup.
