The Czech team Tatran Stresovice champions: "Feels amazing"

Four Czech teams reached the semifinals of the G16 category. The best of them all turned out to be Tatran Stresovice, as they defeated Bulldogs Brno with 4-2 in the final.

Team captain Karolina Blahova scored the first goal in the G16 final. After her team won the well-played and exciting final, she got to lift the trophy in the Partille Arena.
– It feels amazing, says the happy team captain.

After a tight start, Tatran Stresovice took the lead in the all-Czech G16 final against Bulldogs Brno. Karolina Blahova scored the goal, after which great celebrations occurred among Tatran Stresovice's players and leaders. After the first period, the score was 1-0. In the second period, Bulldogs Brno player Lota Najsrova tied the match at 1-1 and made the final even more exciting. But then it was Tatran Stresovice who regained the initiative. Thanks to two goals from Barbora Berankova, they took a two-goal lead.

Bulldogs Brno scored by Karolina Bartonkova and created real nerves in the match. But Tatran Stresovice was the strongest team of the day and can call themselves champions in Gothia Innebandy Cup's G16 category after Katerina Horakova scored 4-2 in the final minutes of the match.
– It feels amazing that we managed to win and that we managed to score more goals than we needed to score. We were good with the ball and everything feels great, says Karolina Blahova.

Getting to lift a trophy after a final is not usual for her.
– It was the first time I lifted a trophy. It felt incredible to be able to do it. The victory means a lot. It has been a fantastic tournament. I am happy to win the tournament with this team, she says.
Now a fun journey home to the Czech Republic awaits.
– We will celebrate during the entire journey home, promises Karolina Blahova.
