Olle Kollberg with an amazing free-hit goal – secured quarterfinal spot for Warberg IBF

With the score tied at 2–2 in the Swedish Youth Championships (USM), Warberg IBF pulled out an unusual free-hit set play – and it was Olle Kollberg who found the back of the net. The very same Olle Kollberg who decided the B15 final at Gothia Cup Innebandy 2024.

Warberg IBF showed both courage and creativity when the team clinched a place in the quarterfinals in Uppsala. In a high-pressure situation, with minutes left and the score still 2–2, Warberg was awarded a free-hit. That’s when Olle stepped up.
– It was a really tense moment. We needed a goal to move on to the quarterfinals, so putting away the 3–2 goal in that moment felt incredible, says Olle Kollberg.
With a quick glance and a perfectly timed shot, he fired in the 3–2 goal with a brilliantly executed free-hit variation – a goal that wasn’t just decisive for the match but also one of the most spectacular of the tournament.
– We hadn’t really practiced it a lot, but we had it as an option in case the right situation came up. It’s mainly my center partner who calls the shots, and this time we had the perfect chance to try it – and it worked out,” says the match-winner.
The goal has gained wide attention on social media, where it’s been shared extensively.
– These are the kinds of games you dream of – just like the Gothia Cup Innebandy final – games where we get to play in front of a big crowd. It’s always great to play in front of packed stands, he adds.

Olle Kollberg had already shown his class during Gothia Cup Innebandy 2024. In the final, he scored twice to secure victory over FBC Partille in the B15 final at Kviberg Arena.
– Going to Gothia Cup Innebandy was the highlight of the year – and winning it made it even bigger. It’s something we still carry with us today, says Olle Kollberg.
