Head coach for the Swedish national team: "This is the best thing"
Nordéns Sandwich-hommage to Gothia Innebandy Cup.
Niklas Nordén, head coach for the Swedish national team is attending Gothia Innebandy Cup with Munka-Ljungby IBKs B14-team, where he also is the head coach.
– I think this is the best thing of the season, he says.
The head coach for current world champions, Niklas Nordén, is present at Gothia Innebandy Cup. But he’s not coaching the Swedish national team – he’s coaching Munka-Ljungby IBKs B14-team.
Currently they’re on the verge of going to the A-finals or the B-finals – all depends on the last game that they’ll play at ten o’clock in Friday night.
– This is my first time at Gothia Innebandy Cup, and it’s enjoyable. I think we’ve six teams from our club, and we’ve been here for twenty years. I saw some kind of prize that we’ve got. So we’re glad to be here and I’ll be glad to come back, he says.
This being Nordéns first time visiting the tournament, he’s already sure that this isn’t going to be his last.
– This is the best thing. This doesn’t ruin players, they’re just here to have fun, to play and to meet new friends. Of course, it’s really good to play against teams from other nations as well, so you can meet up and team along. It’s really educational, I think.
Munka-Ljungby IBK are here with six teams, 110 players and almost 20 leaders.
– Someone told me that it’s like they have a good sandwich. Then this is the middle of the sandwich. Where you have all the best stuff. And maybe it’s like that for the kids. They’re starting to get tired now, so I have to put the energy up – but I think this is the best thing of the season, he says.
