"Fair play is very important in floorball"
Celebrate The Game has been introduced in the Gothia Innebandy Cup in collaboration with Länsförsäkringar.
Celebrate the Game is a fair play project that Gothia Innebandy Cup runs together with Länsförsäkringar, to create a better environment and a better climate for everyone, on and off the pitch. "This is youth floorball" is one of Celebrate The Game's important messages.
This means that players, leaders and parents are asked to behave in the true spirit of fair play during the tournament. The G15 team Warberg IBF is one of all clubs in the Gothia Innebandy Cup that advocates fair play.
– It's good to have a lot of fair play. It was a fair match now. Fair play is very important in floorball. We're careful in the team that we play fair and not ugly with strokes and such things, says the team captain Thilde Stenbäck.
She likes the mood and the atmosphere in Gothenburg.
– The atmosphere is great and we have a very good cohesion in the team, she says.
Thilde enjoys playing floorball.
– The best thing about floorball is that it's played very quickly. You have to be on your toes all the time. And you make many new friends. Therefore, it's a very fun sport.
On Thursday, they defeated the Czech team SK Bivojky Litvinov in Lundbystrand. They took an early 2-0 lead and the end they won with eight goals to zero.
– It was fun to play today, it was our first game. We made a great performance and it was a fun game. We have never faced a foreign team before. It was exciting. It's a lot of fun to play in the Gothia Innebandy Cup, says Thilde Stenbäck.
She has really longed to play the tournament in Gothenburg.
– It's fun to finally get to play here after the pandemic. We like to face other teams than normal, says the team captain.
