CL98IC won the G14 series after a thrilling final match against Warberg

CL98IC won with 3–1 against Warberg IBF

Swedish CL98IC defeated Swedish Warberg IBF 1 in the G14 final with 3–1.
– We have so much fun and I’m so proud, says CL98ICs Wilma Benker.

The match started at a furious pace – and in the fast paced opening, CL98IC took the lead after just three minutes through Alva Pettersson. CL98IC continued to hang on and were able to extend their lead to 2-0 through Wilma Benker in the 14th minute of the match – a goal that was CL98IC's 30th goal of the tournament.
– We have so much fun together and that makes us strong. We’ve been playing together since we were four-year-old and I’m so proud of them all, says Wilma Benker.

Already in the first match minute of the second half, however, Warberg was able to reduce to 2–1 through Ebba Svensson. But it only lasted for five minutes - CL98IC scored their third goal of the match through Wilma Benker's second goal of the day and pulled away to another two-goal lead.
– I thought we had it under control during whole game. It’s always exciting to play floorball and things can happen so fast so I got a bit nervous, says Wilma Benker.
But Warberg didn't give up there - despite the deficit, the team hung on for an equaliser. Despite repeated attempts, however, Warberg failed to score and the CL98IC was crowned the winner of the G14 series – and Wilma Benker was awarded the prize as MVP in the final.
– This is why we play floorball and this is what we want to do – I’m just so happy, she says.
