Baruffaldi – 25 years as an official

After many years of working as an official, she's still going strong.

The opportunity to meet new people is one of the best things about the job at the tournament, according to the official Adele Baruffald.
– It´s so much fun meeting the teams and the old and new coworkers, she says.

Adele Baruffaldi is one of many officials that works in Gothia Innebandy Cup. She has worked so long that she doesn’t even remember for how many years she’s been doing so.
– I think it must be 24–25 years now, she says.
Health and sports are important for her. Besides Gothia Innebandy Cup she also works at Partille Cup and Gothia Cup. And for her everyday job she teaches sports at Burgårdens high school.
– Sport is the best thing I know. You keep yourself young when you are active, but also through the social context when you are around young people, she says.
Some of the things she does as an official is working in the kitchen, cleaning and being a school host.
– What I like to do most is clean, and maybe serve food in the evening. Then I have time to socialize and watch the games as well, she says.

One of many things that got Adele Baruffaldi to start working at Gothia Innebandy Cup was how fun she thinks it’s to socialize with others. But she also means that it’s a very good experience and an important job.
– It doesn’t matter if you are an engineer at NASA or a cleaner. Everyone is needed in the society. It comes a lot of teenagers to work here as their first job and I tell them that this is a really good experience, she says.

She doesn’t know when she’ll stop working as an official at Gothia Innebandy Cup, even though she’s close to retirement. She’s used to saying that every year will be her last, but it always ends with her coming back.
– The days are intense, but it´s so much fun meeting the teams and the old and new coworkers, says Adele Baruffaldi.
