Information regarding Covid-19
Updated 2021-12-09
Our participants and our official’s health and safety during the tournament is our highest priority. With respect for the ongoing pandemic, it is important to us that you feel safe participating in the tournament.
We are working on adjustments of Gothia Innebandy Cup 2022 to carry out the tournament in accordance with the Swedish Public Health Agency’s general advice and recommendations, applicable laws and regulations, and in accordance with the Swedish Floorball Association’s guidelines and recommendations regarding tournaments during Covid-19.
Vaccination certificate
The Swedish government has decided that vaccination certificates will be required at all public events with an audience of 100 people and over. This applies to everyone who is 18 years and older.
Gothia Innebandy Cup will verify vaccination certificates and require ID at the entrance to our three arenas that have a capacity of more than 100 people, Valhalla, Lundbystrand and Lundenhallen.
The vaccination certificate is a part of the Covid certificate and can be shown both digitally or on paper. Please note that a negative PCR-test or antigen test will not be accepted for entrance.
You can order your vaccination passport at www.covidbevis.se
You’ll find more information and answers to the most frequently asked questions here.
Participation
Only people without symptoms will be allowed in the sports halls and at our school accommodation. Each team’s responsible team leader must make sure that everyone in the team follow this before arrival at the matches and accommodation. We urge all teams, when possible, to warm up outdoors before matches, and to spend as little time as possible in the sports halls and locker rooms before and after matches to avoid crowding in common areas.
If a team wants to join the audience after their played match, all persons 18 years and older must leave the sports hall and then enter again as audience. At this point they must show their vaccination certificate at the entrance.
Remember to keep your distance to others in hallways, the school cafeteria, and other common areas. Protect yourself and others against infection – wash your hands often, cough and sneeze into your elbow.
To further reduce the risk of spreading the virus, all players and leaders must fill out a self-assessment form no later than 12 hours and no earlier than 48 hours before arrival to the tournament. More information will be sent to registered teams soon.
Cancellation
Only players and leaders without symptoms will be allowed in the sport halls and at our school accommodations. Players or leaders who is forced to cancel their participation due to symptoms of Covid-19 – even mild symptoms – will get a full refund of their participation fee when showing a PCR test (regardless of the test result).
In case a team won’t have enough players (less than eleven players) to participate, due to many players with symptoms, the whole team will get a full refund of their participation fees.
What happens if Gothia Innebandy Cup 2022 is cancelled?
In case the tournament is forced to cancel due to government restrictions, all registered teams will get a full refund of both registration and participation fees.
Gothia Innebandy Cup is following the development of Covid-19 and if the authorities decide on new or updated restrictions, we will update this page with the information and notify all registered teams. We will also continuously update the information on how the restrictions affect the tournament both in terms of the matches and the team’s accommodation at schools and hotels.
We, who organizes Gothia Innebandy Cup, look forward to welcoming you to Gothenburg, and to be able to offer the youths the best floorball tournament possible. We will do our outmost to be able to carry through with the safest tournament possible, so that you will have a great weekend with many enjoyable floorball memories.
