Tough all Swedish meeting in the G16 quarterfinal: "The playoffs is the most fun part of the tournament"

Jönköpings IK love to play A playoffs in the Gothia Innebandy Cup.

The G16 quarterfinal between Jönköpings IK and FBC Lerum in Valhalla was a very tough game that was exciting until the very end.
– There are so many emotions. The playoffs is the funniest part of the Gothia Innebandy Cup, says Jönköping IK's captain Filippa Leo.

The first 15 minutes was very tight. It took 17 minutes until the first goal was scored. Then it was Felicia Nilsson who gave Jönköpings IK the lead with an excellent shot. The period ended 1-0. Just when the second period started, Filippa Hellström made it 2-0 for Jönköpings IK. But FBC Lerum absolutely didn't give up. On the contrary, they reduced the lead thanks to a goal from Anna Willsund and created great drama in the final minutes. Both teams had opportunities to score more goals, but Jönköpings IK was able to hold off and win the quarterfinal with two goals against one. They're in to the semifinal in the Gothia Innebandy Cup. The captain Filippa Leo is proud of her team.
– It was really good that we were able to keep the lead until the end. It was a very tough match. They had good pressure and it was difficult to get through them. It feels really good now, says the 15-year-old.

She's impressed by the standard of the tournament, especially now in the A playoffs.

The last time she participated, they were knocked out in the round of 16. This year they have topped it by reaching the semifinals.

The Jönköping girl is happy in Gothenburg.
