Floorball Club Falcon is looking to go all the way
They performed well in their last match before the tournament
The last preparations before Gothia Innebandy Cup are underway. Floorball Club Falcon hopes to go all the way in the tournament.
- We are here to win, says Ondrej Poledne, captain for the Falcons B17 team.
Today, Floorball Club Falcon defeated FBC Pittbulls Kolin 6-4 in the last friendly match before the first match tomorrow. Ondrej Polodne, captain for Falcon, feels positive before the opening match tomorrow.
- I am happy with both my own and the team’s performance. There are things we could have done better, but I am happy before the match tomorrow, Ondrej says.
This is the second time that Ondrej has participated in the tournament. This time they arrive in Sweden well prepared for action.
- We have trained for this all year. We have played matches and cups back in the Czech Republic to prepare for this cup, so hopefully, we can perform well this week, he says.
What do you look forward to the most?
- I especially look forward to playing against the Swedish teams. I think it is really exciting to play against teams from different countries.
Ondrej wants the team to perform well but does not only look forward to the matches.
- It is always fun to be at these sorts of cups with my friends. It is great to spend time with friends, and it brings good morals to the team, he says.
Floorball Club Falcon play their first match in the group stage tomorrow against FBK AS Trencin in Frölunda kulturhus at 17:20. Ondrej is optimistic ahead of the opening match.
