“The tournament has a higher level than what we are used to in Denmark”
Frederikshavn Blackhawks B14 team met the Swedish team Skurups IK in Aktiviteten in Mölndal on Saturday. Viggo Skrubbeltang played a key role by scoring both the first and last goal of the match.

Viggo Skrubbeltang showed the way for his Frederikshavn Blackhawks. He scored two goals when the B14 team won 8–4. It was the Danish team's second triumph in Gothia Cup Innebandy 2025 so far.
– The tournament has a higher level than we are used to in Denmark, says Viggo Skrubbeltang.
The score between Frederikshavn Blackhawks and Skurups IK was 1–1 after two minutes of play, but then the Danes played fantastic and won comfortably. Afterwards, the players screamed their joy. The win means that they have a very good chance of advancing to the A playoffs.
– It was nice that we won. We played very well, scored on our chances and won for the second time. It feels good. I think that we can reach the semifinal, says Viggo Skrubbeltang.
The double goal scorer and his teammates are enjoying themselves a lot this week.
– It is a nice city and a very good tournament. The matches in Gothia Cup Innebandy are at a high level. It's a level up compared to back home in Denmark, says the teenager.
This fact also means that the team and the players develop both individually and collectively. But it's not just floorball during the days in Gothenburg. The players also take the opportunity to walk around the city and explore what the city has to offer.
– There will be a bit of shopping, he says.
In fact, he hopes to move to Sweden in the future – but then as a professional floorball player.
– My dream is to play in Sweden, in SSL, because it's the biggest league, says Viggo Skrubbeltang.
Frederikshavn Blackhawks will finish the group stage in Almåshallen A at 8:00 PM tonight. The Swedish team Husqvarna IK will be the opposition.
