The Swiss boys in UHC Uster enjoy every second of GIC

Switzerland is represented by UHC Uster’s B18 team in Gothia Innebandy Cup 2024.

Seven nations are represented in Gothia Innebandy Cup this year. The 18-year-old boys in UHC Uster are proud to play for Switzerland in one of the biggest floorball tournaments in the world – and they are eager to learn more.
– I think that we can learn a lot from the Swedish players, says the player Noah Trachsel.

He has scored four goals so far in the tournament.
– It’s my second year here. It’s a really great tournament. It’s so much fun. I enjoy it a lot. We are Swiss players and we can learn a lot from the Swedish players, because they’re much better than us, says Noah Trachsel when we meet him at Wallenstam Arena.
What do you think that you can learn from the Swedish players?
– We can learn about passing and seeing the empty rooms. And also about shots.

Early in the morning, they won their first match in Gothia Innebandy Cup. They defeated the Swedish team Landskrona IBK with 5-4. Noah Trachsel scored a hattrick in the match.
– It was a much better feeling than losing. To win a match in the group stage was our goal as we didn’t win any matches last year. We celebrated by eating breakfast. Afterwards we came here and played again.
He thinks that they have what it takes to win another match in the tournament.
– Yes, I think that we can win more matches. We have to concentrate and be motivated. Then it’s possible.

Floorball is one of the biggest sports in Switzerland after football, according to Noah Trachsel. He has big goals for the future.
– I dream about becoming a pro player in Switzerland. I will never stop playing floorball. I love this sport. I started when I was four years old. I have played for 13 years now. I give my heart to it, as I love it very much, says the talented teenager.
