Petrova from the Czech Republic on arriving to the school where she'll be living the next few days.
The schools in Gothenburg are filling up with youth floorball players. Pavla Petrova, from the Czech team FBC Dobruska, has just made herself at home in the school she’s about to live in the next few days.
– Hopefully I’ll find new friends, she says.
Dobruska is a small town in the northern parts of the Czech Republic. The players in FBC Dobruska have traveled over night to Gothenburg by bus to compete in the worlds largest floorball tournament for youths – Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– We come from a small town, and it’s maybe an hour or two from Praha, says Pavla Petrova when she’s describing her home village.
With over 400 teams registered for the tournament, Petrova hopes to meet new people and get new acquaintances with others that share her floorball interest.
– It’s going to be interesting, and I'll hopefully find new friends here, she says.
Gothia Innebandy Cup has been cancelled twice due to the pandemic. But Petrova has been here before – and she's longing for this years tournament to get started.
– This is my second time that im here. It was a great experience – I really enjoy it, she says.
FBC Dobruskas G16-team are hopeful about winning the tournament.
– I hope we’ll win the tournament, we have a great team! says Petrova.
