Tatran Stresovice won the G16 category: "A dream to play two finals in one day"

Tatran Stresovice won the Czech showdown against Bulldogs Brno.

The medaldrama in the G16 category between Bulldogs Brno and Tatran Stresovice was of a high caliber. The two Czech teams were hard to separate, but in the end, Tatran Stresovice emerged victorious.

Tatran Stresovice had their sights set on their second gold medal of the day, after their G17-18 team had won its category earlier.

However, it was Bulldogs who struck first, scoring just 43 seconds into the game. That lead didn’t last long, as Tatran Stresovice fought their way back into the match and equalized through the player of the match, Valérie Veverková.

Tatran Stresovice then took the lead in the second period with a goal from Valerie Skalická. Bulldogs refused to give up and created a couple of good chances. For a long time, it looked like the 2-1 scoreline would hold, but Tatran Stresovice had the final say, extending their lead to 3-1 just 20 seconds before the final whistle.

- We work hard in training, and we dedicate everything to floorball. It’s our passion, said Valérie Veverková about the secret behind the team’s success.

Valérie Veverková had already won a gold medal earlier that day with the G17-18 team.

How do you play two finals in one day?

- It’s a dream to play two finals in one day. We are very good, Valérie Veverková concluded.
