Tatran Stresovice went to the final - with Swedish support
Tatran Stresovice made it to the final in the G16 category on Saturday evening. During the tournament, they have had Swedish support from the stands. There is a special reason for that.
For a month during the fall, the Czech Daniela Krizova lived in Umeå and played floorball for Dalen. Now she has helped her Tatran Stresovice to reach the G16 final of Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– My former teammates in Dalen came to a match and supported us, says Daniela Krizova.
On Saturday evening Tatran Stresovice and FBC Liberec met in an all-Czech G16 final in Prioritet Serneke Arena. The latter team took the lead but Tatran Stresovice turned the game around and was able to win with the numbers 3-1.
– I have a good feeling. We wanted to win, so it feels good to have reached the final. I think we have a good chance to win the gold tomorrow, says Daniela Krizova.
Also in the second G16 final, two Czech teams met. Bulldogs Brno won over IBK Hradec Kralove and will therefore be Tatran Stresovice's opponent in tomorrow's final in the Partille Arena. She is not surprised that Czech teams succeed in Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– The Czech Republic works in the right way with development and produces fast and good players, says the talent, who was back in Swedish.
She played floorball in Sweden as recently as last fall. The 15-year-old played for Dalen and lived in Sweden for a month. She made Swedish friends as well as new floorball knowledge.
– Some friends helped me get an exchange going and initiated everything. It was fun to play in Sweden and a good opportunity for me, says Daniela Krizova.
During Gothia Innebandy Cup, she was reunited with her Swedish friends.
– I met the team I played with in Dalen. It was lovely to see them again. They came to a match and supported us, she says happily.
She is keeping her fingers crossed that she will be able to represent a Swedish team again in the future.
– Yes, I hope that I will play in Sweden again. That would be fun. Maybe in Dalen again! she says with a smile.
