Onsala IBK's G13 team longs for its debut in the Gothia Innebandy Cup

Onsala IBK is one of the local clubs that will participate in the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2023.

The girls in Onsala IBK's G13 team couldn't be more excited. In January, they debut in the Gothia Innebandy Cup.

The coach Johan Lindström tell us about the club:
– We're located approximately 30 kilometers south of Gothenburg and belong to Halland's Indoor Bandy Association. We are approximately 600 members and over 500 players in the club. Our team consists of 21 girls born in 2009 and 2010. We will compete in the Girls 13 category.

How is Onsala IBK F09 as a team? Yes, very ambitious!
– We've a hard-working team that loves to train. I would like to say that the girls are good at absorbing tactical instructions and for their age have good physique, shooting and technique.
This will therefore be the first time that they participate in the Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– We haven't played it before, and as it is close to our hometown, we would like to try it this year. We were involved in nine cups last season and this will be our sixth cup of the season. We like to play against other teams, hence our choice to play in the cup, says Johan Lindström.

What do the players think about being allowed to play in the Gothia Innebandy Cup? What are they most looking forward to?
– They are really looking forward to meeting new opponents and hope to play against teams from other countries. It would have been the most fun.

How do you think it will be for the youngsters to face teams from other countries?
– It's a fantastic opportunity for the young people to meet other countries and see how far they have come with floorball, says the coach.
