Making a strong debut in Gothia Cup Innebandy: “We’re fighting to bring home the gold.”

The playoffs are underway, and one team with its sights set on going all the way is Nynäshamn IBK.
– We’re fighting to bring home the title, says Tuva Ny, captain of Nynäshamn IBK.
On Sunday morning, Nynäshamn IBK played their Round of 16 match in the G15 category against Pinntorp IBF. The game ended in a comfortable 3–0 victory for Nynäshamn IBK, earning them a spot in the quarterfinals, which will take place later in the day.
– We started the match a bit shakily, and the opponents pressed us effectively. But we grew into the game and took control, so I think the win was well-deserved, says Tuva Ny, captain of the winning team.
For Tuva Ny and her teammates, Sunday brings a packed schedule if they hope to make it to Monday’s final. Recovery between matches is key.
– On days like this, with multiple games ahead, it’s important to eat well and recharge for the next match. Being ready from the start is crucial, she explains and adds:
– Between matches, we usually dance a lot and go for walks with the team.
This is Tuva Ny’s first time playing in the Gothia Cup Innebandy, and the tournament has not disappointed so far.
– It’s been great so far. The opening ceremony was amazing, and the atmosphere has been fantastic since we arrived, says Tuva Ny.
The team has won every match they’ve played so far and is now aiming to go all the way.
– We’re fighting to bring home the gold, no doubt about it, says Tuva Ny.
Nynäshamn IBK’s next match is against Åstorp/Kvidinge IBS at Prioritet Serneke Arena A at 13.00.
