Lucas won the Gothia Innebandy Cup - now he plays in SSL

Lucas Dahlström was one of the heroes when Pixbo Wallenstam won the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2020. Now he plays professionally for the club's senior team in SSL.

Lucas Dahlström really enjoyed playing the latest edition of the Gothia Innebandy Cup 2020. Now the 20-year-old is playing SSL floorball with Pixbo Wallenstam.
– The Gothia Innebandy Cup has definitely helped my development, says Lucas Dahlström.

Pixbo Wallenstam faced Lindås Rasta in the B18 final of the Gothia Innebandy Cup in Partille Arena. Lindås Rasta played well, but in the end Pixbo Wallenstam was able to win by three goals to one and get the trophy.
– The final was very fun to play, winning the Gothia Innebandy Cup is something you've wanted to do since you were little. We won against a Lindås team that were favourites, which was extra fun, says Lucas Dahlström.
He remembers that he and his teammates were very happy after the final whistle.
– We celebrated by singing a little in the dressing room. Then we went out and ate at a restaurant, he says.
He had a lot of fun throughout the tournament.
– The days during the tournament were very fun, everything from the matches to hanging out with the team. Above all, it was fun to face teams that you had never played against before. I remember the final best as it was so much fun to play, says the 20-year-old.

Lucas Dahlström thinks that young players should take the chance and play the Gothia Innebandy Cup.
– The Gothia Innebandy Cup is a tournament where teams from so many different places gather in one place. You learn a lot from facing other types of opposition where, for example, the ways of playing vary a lot from country to country.
The forward now represents Pixbo Wallenstam in SSL, where he is playing his second season.
– The Gothia Innebandy Cup has definitely helped my development. The teams we played against were of the highest class, which meant that you constantly had tough matches and developed in each match. My goal in SSL is to get a bigger role and to be a starting player in every game, says Lucas Dahlström.
