Lara plays with boys - in GIC and in the German second division

Lara Schubert is the name of one of SC Potsdam's B18 team's goal scorers in Gothia Innebandy Cup.

SC Potsdam's Lara Schubert is a big talent in her home country. She plays in the second division for men and in the G19 national team. This week she plays Gothia Innebandy Cup with the boys in SC Potsdam's B18 team.
– It's normal for me, says Lara Schubert.

SC Potsdam is Germany's representative in Gothia Innebandy Cup this year. In the group stage, they had a draw against the Danish Esbjerg Sharks and three losses.
– I think that we can do better. SC Potsdam will definitely come back here with a team next year - and make better results. It's a very nice tournament and I like Gothenburg as a city, all the teams and the arenas. There are tough opponents here. It helps me develop my own qualities and get better, says Lara Schubert, who scored a goal in the opening match against Malmö FBC.

That she plays with boys is not exactly a one-time occurrence.
– I like it. It's normal for me. I'm used to playing with boys because many teams in Germany are mixed. I've been playing with boys since I was a kid when there weren't any all-girls teams. Otherwise, I play in the second division with the men's team. It's okay.
Lara Schubert has already played the U19 World Cup for Germany. The junior national team player aims for bigger assignments in the next couple of years.
– I dream of playing in the senior national team in the future, says the 18-year-old forward.
