Gantofta IBK has magical team spirit: "Everyone loves everyone"

Gantofta IBK's G18 team has a fantastic team spirit.

Today, the ambitious girls in Gantofta IBK finally got to celebrate their first point in the tournament.
– Everyone loves everyone in the team. It's great fun, says the player Bella Edvardsson.

It was a tough battle between the G18 teams Gantofta IBK and Varla IBK in Prioritet Serneke Arena on Friday. Varla IBK took the lead but Gantofta IBK fought their way back into the match and equalized through Maja Ekberg in the second period. Then both teams had chances to score a winning goal.
– Varla IBK is a good side. We have them in our JAS series, so we've met them before and know them a bit. It was a tough match against a good team. It could have gone either way, says Bella Edvardsson.

She is happy that they grabbed their first point in this year's tournament.
– It was a good match. We fought the whole match and wanted to win this. We played a very good match even though it was only a draw. It was a nice feeling to get our first point. Now we just want to build on this.
Above all, she's satisfied that they finally scored the 1-1 goal.
– It felt like that goal was hanging in the air, so it was nice when it went in.
At 14.40 they play against Lindås IBK. That meeting also takes place in Prioritet Serneke Arena.
– It will be a tough match, but we will try to get at least one point, says Bella Edvardsson humbly.
For Bella and her teammates, Gothia Innebandy Cup is one of the highlights of the year.
– Everything here is great fun. The matches are the best. We want to go as far as possible. We will fight as much as we can and not give up.

The players, leaders and parents have fun both on and off the court during the days in Gothenburg.
– When we are not playing a match, we hang out with friends and family. That's what we have time for. Liseberg is fun even if we haven't had time to go there yet. The best thing about the team is that we always have fun. We cheer each other on all the time and everyone loves everyone. It's so funny.
She is really passionate about floorball.
– Floorball is so much fun. The team and everything is great fun. The goal for me is to get as far as possible with my floorball. It would have been nice to play for Team Thorengruppen. It's a big club, says Bella Edvardsson.
