Full attendance at goalkeeper training in Valhalla

– I wanted to show how I think as a goalkeeper in different situations, says Jon Hedlund. On Friday morning, the floorball goalkeeper led the first goalkeeper training session at Valhalla Arena.

Many curious and motivated goalkeepers gathered to take part in the session.

The training was led by Jon Hedlund, previously named the world’s best goalkeeper, with long experience from national team play and top-level floorball. During the session, Hedlund showed several of his most common techniques and shared how he thinks in different match situations.

– I wanted to show them how I think and how goalkeepers can think in different situations. It is understandable that they can be a bit shy when many new goalkeepers meet like this, but when they came forward one by one, many of them had a lot to say, says Jon Hedlund.

Ahead of the final days of Gothia Cup Floorball, Hedlund shares a clear piece of advice with the participants.

– Be confident and try your ideas and techniques. A tournament is a perfect opportunity to get a lot of match play in a short time, so try as much as you can, says the goalkeeper.
