Floda IBK build team unity ahead of B playoffs
Team development has been a key focus during the tournament. – The best thing about Gothia Cup has been bringing the team together, says Floda IBK coach Sebastian Cedgard.
Floda IBK Boys 17 have advanced to the B playoffs following a group stage that head coach Sebastian Cedgard describes as solid. For the team, the Gothia Cup has provided an opportunity not only to compete, but also to strengthen cohesion within the squad.
According to Cedgard, the biggest takeaway so far has been how the players have grown closer as a group. He emphasizes the importance of building unity both on and off the court during an intense tournament schedule.
- The most important thing for us has been becoming more of a group and coming together as a stronger team, he says.
Floda IBK secured their place in the B playoffs and recently won a decisive match on penalties. The victory gave the team confidence and momentum heading into the knockout stage.
– It has gone quite okay for us. Reaching the B playoffs and winning the last match on penalties was obviously a good result, Cedgard says.
Looking ahead, Floda IBK have clear ambitions for the remainder of the tournament. With improved team spirit and a positive result behind them, the team enters the playoffs with a clear objective.
– Of course, our goal is to win the B playoffs, Cedgard says.
With team unity continuing to develop and performances improving, Floda IBK now prepare for the next challenge in the competition.
