Finally back after 18 years
2005 she participated in Gothia Innebandy cup – now she's back in a new role.
It’s now been 18 years since Majja Andersson played Gothia Innebandy Cup at Valhalla Sporthall. Now she’s here again – but this time as a supporter.
– You can really see how much they’re going for it and how much they love it, she says.
It didn’t go too well for Majja Johansson and Skara IBK when they played Gothia Innebandy Cup in 2005. It was the first and the last time she participated in the tournament. But now she’s finally back when her stepdaughter plays with Landvetter Wings in the G15-series.
Her partner, Markus Båth, is also a committed supporter.
– It’s important to be here and show them that you care, he says.
Majja Johansson doesn’t have any kids on her own but she’s happy that she can get involved in the sport again through her step kids.
– I really miss it because it’s my favorite sport. So, it’s so much fun to participate again thanks to Markus’s children, she says.
The old floorball player is not ready for the fun to end just yet.
– It’s so much fun being here watching them. I hope they’ll win so we get to see more games, she says.
The kids think it’s just as fun to be a part of Gothia Innebandy Cup as their stepmother. They usually meet the same teams all the time, says Markus Båth pointing out that one of the best parts of the tournament is to meet other teams than the ones in the regional series.
– For the girls, Gothia Innebandy Cup is one of the greatest things you can do, he says
