"Fairplay is what makes the matches good"
Celebrate the Game is an important part of Gothia Innebandy Cup.
Celebrate the Game is a fair play project that Gothia Innebandy Cup runs to create a better environment and a better climate for everyone, on and off the pitch. ”This is only a game” is one of Celebrate The Game's important messages.
This means that players, leaders, and parents should respect each other all the time and remind each other about how important it is to behave in the right way. Together we can create an even better environment on and off our pitches. Albin Backholm, who captains CL98IC’s B12 team, reckons that it is important to remember that it is “only” a game.
- Fair play is important because it is about playing nice, and that is what makes the matches good. I believe it was a fair match today, and that there has been during the tournament, Albin says.
- Our coaches always tell us that it is important for us to play nice and treat our opponents with respect, and always point out that it is crucial to fair play.
This is the first time Albin has participated in Gothia Innebandy Cup, and he looks forward to returning in the future.
- It has been fun. I most certainly want to return in the future. The best thing about the cup is to spend time with your friends and stay with them for a few days, he says.
Albin says that he thinks it is fun to play floorball, but also that he has plans ahead of the future with the sport.
- The best thing about floorball is to play with your mates, win games, and score goals of course. In the future I want to become a good player and play on a high level, he says.
