Excitement until the very end as Gothia Cup Innebandy 2026 concludes
The Gothia Floorball Cup has now finished, with the finals played at Kviberg Arena and Partille Arena. – This was a fantastic way to end the tournament. We have seen high-quality play, great joy on the floor, and an amazing atmosphere in the arenas, says Lena Rönnefors, tournament director for the Gothia Floorball Cup.
After several days of group matches and playoffs, the winners in all categories were finally decided. The finals offered both drama and impressive team performances, providing a worthy end to a week where floorball was at the centre of attention.
– These are exactly the kinds of days we work for. When players, coaches, and fans together create memories that will last a long time, says Lena Rönnefors.
For many participants, the tournament has been more than just matches – it has also been about community, new friendships, and experiences off the pitch.
– The Gothia Floorball Cup is about much more than results. It’s about meeting people, developing skills, and enjoying the sport together, adds Lena Rönnefors.
She also highlights the work behind the scenes as a key part of the tournament’s success.
– It’s a huge team effort. Officials, referees, clubs, and partners do an amazing job. Without them, this would not have been possible. I am extremely proud of the whole organisation, says Lena Rönnefors.
As the arenas fall silent and teams travel home, the organisers are already looking ahead, carrying with them the memory of a successful Gothia Floorball Cup.
– We take the energy and experiences from this year and are already looking forward to the next time we bring the floorball world together, concludes Lena Rönnefors.
