Eight goals in three games – Lukas aims for SSL and the national team

Lukas Armanius is one of the absolute best scorers in Gothia Cup Innebandy 2025 so far. Or how about eight goals in three matches?

During the first three matches in Gothia Cup Floorball 2025, Lukas Armanius in Växjö IBK's U13 team has produced a whopping eight goals. He does not hide the fact that he hopes to go far in floorball.
– The goal is to play in SSL and the national team, says the top scorer.

Växjö IBK is going like a train in the B13 category so far. They have played three matches so far and won all of them. Lukas Armanius is one of the reasons. He started the tournament by scoring four goals against the German team Baltic Storms. Then he scored one goal against Helsingør Floorball Team from Denmark. In the third match, Växjö IBK faced their compatriots in Ale IBF. Then Lukas Armanius was noted for three goals. This means that he has eight goals after three matches, which gives an average of 2,66 goals per match. An impressive result.
– I have trained at home and practiced a lot of shots. That's how it happened. I think it's fun to score a lot of goals, says Lukas Armanius when we meet him at Aktiviteten in Mölndal.

He is pleased with the team's almost flawless start in the tournament - with 18 goals scored and a maximum of nine points.
– It felt good to win. We rolled the ball well and got into chances and scored on them. We've had a good start. We work hard and work for each other. We cover shots and play our game. It's fun, says the goal-oriented player.
He believes they have a good team that will be counted on in the playoffs.
– I think that we have a great chance of going far if we just continue like this and work hard, says Lukas Armanius.

He enjoys his days in Gothenburg very much.
– Gothia Cup Innebandy is a fun tournament. It's fun to live with your teammates at a school and it's fun to play floorball.
Lukas has high ambitions with his floorball career.
– The goal is of course to be the best and play in SSL and the national team. And this season the goal is to win the league and do it as well as possible.
How many more goals do you hope to score in Gothia Cup Innebandy 2025?
– I don't know, but a few more goals maybe, says Lukas Armanius humbly.
