Close, but not close enough for Jönköping

Warberg IBF won the B17 final after a dramatic match against Jönköping. – It feels really good. Some in the team have won before, not me. So now it was my turn, says match MVP Harry Eskelinen.

The match started at a high pace, and Warberg took an early lead. Just before halftime, Jönköping reduced the score to 2–1, and the game looked completely open. After the break, Warberg extended their lead to 3–1, but Jönköping fought back to 3–3 with three minutes left and called a timeout to try to keep up the pressure.

The timeout did not help, and Warberg took the lead again. Later, the team got a penalty, which Livar Litlere calmly converted. MVP Harry Eskelinen scored two important goals during the match, which ended 5–3 to Warberg. Eskelinen was also named player of the match.

– It was exciting at 3–3, but we knew we would win. We just kept going, Eskelinen said about the decisive moments.

Now it is time to go home and celebrate. – I don’t know how yet, but it will probably be something nice to eat at home with my family, says match MVP Harry Eskelinen.
