CL98IC 1 champions after a fantastic final: "We will celebrate all night long"
In the final of the G11/G12 category, the Swedish teams CL98IC 1 and Lindås IBK faced each other. The audience was treated to a magical start to the match – with four goals in less than two minutes. It was a wild final that included eight goals in the first ten minutes.
CL98IC 1 led 9–3 after the very intense first half of the G11/G12 final and when the final whistle blew, the Swedish team had won 11–3.

CL98IC 1 got off to a dream start in the final in Prioritet Serneke Arena. After just twelve seconds, the team took the lead. Goal scorer: Ines Björk. Lindås IBK responded immediately. The equalizer came after 34 seconds of play through Annie Andersson. Two quick goals from Astrid Svaret's and Ines Billberg's sticks meant that CL98IC 1 led 3–1. At that point, the final had not even lasted for two minutes. Lisa Lidroth reduced the disadvantage for Lindås IBK, but Kerstin Larsson made it 4–2 to CL98IC 1 immediately afterwards.
After barely ten minutes of play, Elli Engdahl increased CL98IC 1's lead to 5–2. Halfway through the first half, Astrid Skaret scored her second goal of the match. Lindås IBK then reduced the deficit through Lovisa Bäckdén. Ines Björk and Elli Engdahl each scored another goal, increasing CL98IC 1's lead to 8–3. Before the first half was over, Selma Alexander also managed to score 9–3 for CL98IC 1.
The second half was calmer in terms of goals than the crazy first half, but that doesn't mean there weren't any goals. Halfway through the second half, Agnes Elm scored 10–3 for CL98IC 1. Before the final was over, Alice Lindgren scored 11–3, which was also the final score. CL98IC 1 is the champion in the G11/12 class.
– We played very well the whole match. We fought with all we had. That's why I think we took home the victory today. It's huge to win. Last year we got silver so it was really fun to win this year, says Selma Alexander in the winning team.
How are you going to celebrate this?
– There will be celebrations all evening, with lots of good food and drinks. There will be music and everything, says Selma Alexander.
