International youth floorball tournament

Gothia Innebandy Cup is one of the world’s largest and most international floorball events. Each year, more than 450 teams from six to eight nations participate and more than 1300 matches are played on 28 courts. The tournament is played each year over the Swedish holiday “trettonhelgen” in Gothenburg. Over 10000 floorball youths then gather to participate in the biggest floorball event.

With one of its two teams, CL98IC from Kalmar in Sweden made it all the way to the final in class B12 in last year's Gothia Innebandy Cup. In the final, however, they were defeated by Panthers' Prague. In January this year, the two CL98IC teams were back in Gothenburg again.

FBC Kalmarsund is an experienced club in Gothia Innebandy Cup. This was not least noticeable in their B14 team, where there were both players and coaches who have been here before. They are especially attracted by everything that surrounds the games.

At 10 am today, the registration for next year's tournament, which will be played on January 3-6, opened. Träslövsläge's B14 team was the first team to register. ”It’s nice to finish first at least once”, team leader Niclas Frejd says with a laugh.
